How to Give

As a hub for learning at the largest research public university in Chicago, we depend on your support to continue offering the unique programming that makes Gallery 400 a not-for-profit institution like no other. Contributions of $100 or more are acknowledged in the Gallery’s annual listing of donors. Gifts are tax-deductible as allowed by law.

ANNUAL FUND

Your support through unrestricted funds enables us to fulfill our committment to showcasing the work of creative practitioners at the leading edge of contemporary art, expanding scholarship on art and history through catalogues, and developing thought-provoking programming for all.

PLANNED GIFTS

You can plan for your future and ours. Many gift planning options have special advantages that allow you and our program to share the benefits of giving. To coordinate, please contact Jonathan Kinkley, Senior Director of Development (kinkley@uic.edu, 312-996-4714).

DEFERRED GIFTS

Deferred gifts result from carefully planning that aligns with your financial and philanthropic goals to maxmize benefits to you and us. They include, bequests, charitables trusts, gift annuities, retained life estates, life insurance, retirement accounts, and securities. If interested in deffering a gift, contact Jonathan Kinkley, Senior Director of Development (kinkley@uic.edu, 312-996-4714).

ENDOWED FUNDS

An endowment is a self-renewing resource that the University holds in perpetuity and does not spend. Endowed gifts are invested, and the earnings from these investments help fund our long-term programs and services for all. If interested in establishing an endowment, contact Jonathan Kinkley, Senior Director of Development (kinkley@uic.edu, 312-996-4714).

MATCHING GIFTS

Many employers offer matching gift programs to their employees. Eligible donors for a corporate match may include retired employees, spouses of employees, or widows/widowers of former employees depending on the organization’s giving policy. Your company may match, double, or even triple your initial gift and significantly increase our impact. See if your employer will match your gift.

SPONSORED EVENT

Sponsoring a dinner following an exhibition opening or a VOICES Lecture Series dinner is a fantastic way of connecting with our community of artists, faculty, students, and other supporters of contemporary art. If interested, contact Jonathan Kinkley, Senior Director of Development (kinkley@uic.edu, 312-996-4714).
