ABOUT THE EVENT

This hands-on workshop invites participants to experience the papier-mâché artistry prominent in Tultepec, Mexico, where traditional methods of papier-mâché fabrication are used to create sculptural foundations.

During the workshop, participants will create their own structures for uniquely designed lanterns. Pieces can be finished with decorative crepe paper, known as ruffles, and paint, and can be taken home. Please dress comfortably in something that you don’t mind getting messy!
