Garden for a Changing Climate joins Telpochcalli School Garden and Hammond Elementary Garden—two of Marshall Square’s most vibrant neighborhood gardens—for a day of fresh food, gardening, and community organizing.

 

The day will begin at Telpochcalli School Garden, where lunch is provided from the garden, and activities include nutrition and cooking workshops, a social justice workshop on pollution in Little Village, and seed bomb making. At 1pm, we move in a procession of plants to the Hammond Elementary Garden and spend time doing yoga and Zumba in the garden and a reading and storytelling activity.
