Created in connection with the exhibition Learning Together: Art Education and Community, artist and educators Jorge Lucero and Paulina Camacho Valencia asked the contributors: What is your relationship to art education in Chicago? Did you teach? Did you learn? Did you make, advocate, fight, or give? Did you find healing, community, or purpose? Is your creative work through art education? Are you in early childhood, elementary, middle, or high school, higher education, or community arts? Are you in with the teaching artists, arts advocates, museum educators, social practitioners, or art therapists? Do you represent multiple intersections of these realms? The results are over 50 different art education stories from artist educators from across Chicago.
