ABOUT THE EXHIBITION
Diffusing the lines between form and content in graphic design, Dexter Sinister creates presentations and publications that collapse the distinctions between editing, design, production, and distribution. Designed as a walk-in-caption and set in Meta-the-difference-between-the-two-Font—a typeface designed by Dexter Sinister in 2010 and derived from MetaFont, a computer typography system programmed by Donald Knuth in 1979—this exhibition offers a series of frames with which to consider the usual channels of material, subject matter, and set-up in exhibition displays.
The Plastic Arts is presented concurrently with Particulate Matter (Things, Thingys, Thingies).
