Born into Trouble: Reproductive Sovereignty and Community in the Climate Crisis

Monday, October 17, 2016 – 5:30PM to 7:30PM
Gallery 400
400 S Peoria St.

Unnamed Copy

Situated at the intersections of art, climate change, and reproductive sovereignty, artist Christa Donner and activist Josephine Ferorelli of the climate-conscious reproductive sovereignty project, Conceivable Future, lead a generative conversation and Q&A enriched by the presence of local activists that centers largely overlooked personal perspectives on climate change. How do we develop new systems of care in the Anthropocene, and how can we utilize alternative systems to address gaps in recent discussions surrounding climate change and women’s rights?
