Gallery 400 Welcomes Marcela Torres!

We are excited to welcome Marcela Torres to Gallery 400's team as the Community Engagement & Public Programs Manager!

Marcela approaches projects through the intersectional lenses of performer, educator, and community organizer, each practice slipping into one another. Within her own arts practice she creates immersive events, curatorial structures, and publications that involve community groups ranging from libraries, public schools, and arts audiences.

She has served as Education Manager for CUAC in Salt Lake City, UT; created innovate arts integration programs for Utah Museum of Contemporary Art, Book Arts Program at The J. Willard Marriott Library; and currently works with Chicago Arts Partnerships in Education. She holds an MFA in Performance from the School of The Art Institute of Chicago and BA in Sculpture and a BFA in Art History from the University of Utah.

Marcela is currently developing programming in conjunction with Garden for a Changing Climate and Out of Easy Reach, and we look forward to publicizing the events soon!
